14-Hour Continuing Education
All real estate sales associates and brokers are required to complete 14-hours of continuing education, every two years before their license expires excluding their the first renewal period their current license. At R. A. Thomas Educational Center these courses are available to students in classroom, distant learning, hybrid and livestream environments.
Our continuing education courses will enable all sales associates and brokers to renew and keep their license active.
Flexible Approved Course Options
CLASSROOM
Best for students who live close by and prefer receive instruction in a classroom setting.
DISTANT LEARNING
Exceptional for students that are self-motivated and prefer to attend class 100% online, on their own time.
HYBRID COURSE
Best for students who prefer to have a combination of classroom setting and online platform.
LIVESTREAM
Perfect for students who do not live close by our location and prefer a live instructor led course via online cloud platform.
Exemption From 14-Hour Continuing Education Requirement
Attorneys in good standing and active with the Florida Bar are exempt from the 14-hour continuing education course. Attorneys seeking exemption must submit a copy of their Bar Card or Florida Bar license number upon initial application to the DBPR.
Applicants who has a 4-year degree in Real Estate are NOT exempt from 14-hour continuing education course. Sales Associates with a 4-degree in Real Estate are required to take the 14-hour continuing course. Failure to complete required course hours prior to the expiration date will result in a license being changed to involuntarily inactive.

Course Notes: ** Students cannot miss more than 6 hours for any reason per DBPR requirement.
Course Description: The course is designed to prepare students for the State of Florida Real Estate Exam. The course textbook, Florida Real Estate principles, practices and law are included. Employment assistance are also included (review Course for more details).
